Home Alone

20 Home Alone (1990)
Has it really been 20 years since this movie was released? This family classic pits a young Macaulay Culkin against Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern, two persistent burglars. They fall victim to the young boys ingenious methods to keep them from the stealing anything from his house. A very funny movie that the whole family will enjoy.
Synopsis: Eight-year-old Kevin is accidentally left behind when his entire (and large) family makes a frantic rush for the airport. That's the plausible part. Alone and besieged by burglars, Culkin turns into a pint-sized Rambo defending his suburban castle with the wile and resources of a boy genius with perfect timing and unlimited wherewithal. That's the implausible part. Pesci and Stern, the targets of Macauley's wrath, enact painful slapstick with considerable vigor, while Candy has a small but funny part as the leader of a polka band traveling cross-country with mom O'Hara. The highest-grossing picture of 1990, surpassing "Ghost" and "Jaws."
